Camping is generally one of the most affordable ways of spending a holiday. Some of the more basic campsites charge around 40 euros for two people for one night. The prices do, of course, vary according to the level of luxury on offer and according to the season. If you are able to, it is significantly cheaper to camp during the low season instead of during the high season.

If you are travelling spontaneously then we still recommend calling ahead and speaking to a member of staff at reception.
No. Camping is only permitted on official campsites. Please be aware that this also applies if you have been turned away from a campsite which is full. Campers who pitch a tent or sleep in their campervan in places where this is not permitted can expect to receive a fine.
